Rano Kau Volcano (From Top)

Volcano Rano Kau emerged after hundreds of thousands of years, followed by volcano Maunga Terevaka, which created the island as we know it through these eruptive processes. These three volcanos gave rise to tens of volcanic cones, providing Rapa Nui its typical relief, dotted with craters, soft hills, and lava fields. The three sides of the island triangle measure around 16, 17 and 24 Km, respectively.
